Well, sorry for the lack of activity over the last week or so, I've had a lot of things going on, it's been pretty crazy to say the least...

Anyways, to start off I'm going to have to say a final HUGE thankyou to each and every one of you who have added me to your watches, favorited my work, or left me comments!
My last journal I challenged myself to reply them all, and I have to say, I've failed horribly... I started to, and after an hour of typing, had barely scratched the surface...so needless to say, I'm going to have to take all the much wiser deviants advice and just give a general THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! to all of you!!!  Your encouragement and advice really means a lot to me! So THANK YOU!!

Also, I owe an enormous amount of gratitude to +lady-blue for giving me a subscription!  I'm totally enthused that you would do that for me! X 100 I've been excitedly trying to figure all this new stuff out *heh* THANK YOU!!

Now, for a serious 'artistic update':
For all of you who have expressed interest in Hold Yourself Together I have to say that yes, my piece was chosen to represent my highschool in the college art exhibit down at UCFV and is already back in the halls at my highschool.  I went to opening night at the exhibit and got a good deal of comments and feedback from various profs, teachers, students and art lovers. It was a great experience to have artwork of mine hung in a gallery to be admired and critiqued by people I don't even know, and to overhear what many of them had to say honestly about it.  My piece was also put into the UCFV newspaper with a small writeup about it as well as shown in the background of a newspaper article photo and in a tv news report on the gallery.  So all in all, my artwork was a success, and I couldn't be happier, it's really exciting for me, it has been that extra push nudging me to pursue my art as a career.  
Once I get my work back from school I'll probably try and get access to a quality scanner and get a better image of it up on here of the finished piece, signature and all.
A surprising amount of people, both online and off, have been asking me about buying prints of Hold Yourself Together, and I have to say that I've seriously been considering it. I'm not sure if I would purchase a print account here on DeviantArt, or whether I would just have a limited amount of prints made, I have to look into it all. So, if anyone is interested let me know.

As a few of you have been wondering, yes, I do have more artwork on the way.  I have a new large assignment for my artclass that I'm working on.  I don't want to give too much of it away, but the requirements my art teacher gave to us for this piece are very specific. It will be a painting, either oil, or mixed, and it has to portray a specific aspect of God that she assigned to each of us (I'm a Christian at a Christian school for any of you wondering what kind of teacher assigns a religious project) So yah, the aspect I have to portray is Joy, and it has to be slightly abstract, leaving a feeling of being unfinished or incomplete in some way.
Naturally I understand that not everyone is into religion or artwork with a religious feeling and motivation, and if this piece of mine that I'm working on holds none of your interest that's fine.  To each his own.  I also have a few other ideas going on in my head that I've been wanting to get down onto paper, so I'll also be working on another large graphite drawing portraying another interesting idea I've been thinking about.  One of which demonstrates a concept from 'the Matrix' which I'm pretty excited to get started, and the others are top secret for now. nah, I just don't have my ideas complete on them yet

Anyone who hasn't already received some kind of notice regarding the fakers awareness, then I'd strongly encourage you to check out *ThePencilClub 's page and the information regarding faked pencil works that are unfortunately showing up around DeviantArt.  Art is about creativity and opening up your mind as well as others to new ideas and images, not passing off fake artwork as the real deal to gain some sort of false internet recognition and glory.  Feel free to check it out.

Another note, ~Dmcdivet decided to manipulate a photo of mine and it turned out great!! I've never had anyone interested in working on a photo of mine and I found that pretty cool, so thanks Jay! Here's a link to it.


So anyways, I'll hopefully have the major art projects up in the near future, and I might take a few shots of the scenery up north on our trip to Princeton this Christmas to my aunt and uncles holiday house. We go a few times a year up there with all my family to quad and snowmobile.

I'm kind of stunned, last night I quickly checked my account before I went to bed and was telling myself. 'ok, tomorrow, you are going to reply to the 54 messages'. I wake up this morning to find 683 messages, and still growing, and find out 'Hold Yourself Together' has been featured, that's very exciting, thank you to everyone!! hugs all around.
These past 2 weeks before end of term have been crazy hectic for me, I've been gone everyday with basketball, and then my homework was racking in all my remaining time till 12 oclock every night, and then up at 5 in the morning, so I've been motoring on adrenaline for way too long. Finally, term is over and I just have to finish up 2 more projects this weekend and I'm finished for a while!
